Whatmakes a good online dating profile?
I often get asked this question, so i thought it would be a good idea to address this in a blog. In the age of Covid 19 plus social media profiles and an ever busy lifestyle, we are turning more and more to online dating as a way to meet potential love interests.
Therefore having the optimal dating profile that attracts top quality guys, is a must for any woman looking to date online. I will run through some of my top tips with a brief description as to why you should consider taking them on!
- The picture
SMILE. Yes i said it, its a dirty word especially in the age of the duck lips and pouts, a smile is somthing that will make you stand out above and beyond the crowd! Research online has shown that men are more attracted to women who smile in pictures as it makes them appear more approachable and light-hearted. Also in a sea of serious looking women, your beautiful smiling face is sure to stand out and attract a man, putting you in a different league of winners all together.

2. No pictures of your children
Although i will always recommend being honest about having children on a profile (some people will actively try and hide this) i do not recommend putting pictures of you with your children online. This goes without saying that for safety and security reasons its not safe to overshare about your children on a public space. which take me onto my next point
3. Dont overshare
Your profile isn’t a space for you to list all of you hobbies, all of your daily activities, your history, your plans for your future and a long paragraphs about your life. KEEP IT BRIEF. Men like mystery, the less you share the more he has to discover, the more you have to talk about and the more likely he is to approach you online and take it offline for a date.

4. About me…
Again this section should be brief, an example is “I’m an ambitious person who likes to travel and meet new people..” Yes it sounds boring, but the less you write the more a guy sees you as someone who is cool, laid back, not desperate for a relationship and the more questions he can ask you. Write what you want, make it more catchy, just make sure its not longer that a few lines!

5. The guy I am looking for?
Dont make a list! Dont tell a guy what your dream man looks like or is like. The less you write about what you want, the more different type of men will approach you and they will see you as more easy going, less judgemental and they will see themselves as less likely to be rejected (even though that may not be true) but a man wants to think he stands a chance with you or otherwise why would he risk approaching you?

6. Relationship or somthing casual..
In this section i always recommend to my girls to put “somthing casual, or chatting” the reason is because you are going to attract players anyway, the difference is that when a guy thinks you want a relationship he is more likely to run a different kind of more advanced game, where as if you put casual, you will attract the guys who want relationships and dont, your actions will determine whether they give you a relationship or not.
